At AWC Kitchens Ltd, we take pride in our ability to bring functional and aesthetically pleasing commercial kitchens to life. Our most recent project involved completely revamping a former commercial kitchen space, and we are excited to share the incredible transformation with you. In this blog post, we will discuss the key aspects of this project, from ripping out the initial setup to the final installation of important equipment and fixtures that prioritize food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Ripping out the Initial Commercial Kitchen: The journey began by meticulously dismantling the existing commercial kitchen. Our skilled team worked diligently to carefully remove each component, ensuring minimal disruption and preserving any reusable materials. This crucial step laid the foundation for our ambitious plans ahead.

Installing Polysafe Flooring and Hygienic Wall Cladding: Flooring and wall cladding play a vital role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in any commercial kitchen. We opted for the industry-standard Polysafe flooring, known for its durability, slip resistance, and easy maintenance. Alongside this, we installed high-quality hygienic wall cladding, providing an impermeable barrier against moisture and preventing the growth of harmful bacteria.

Bespoke Fabrication and Equipment Installation: To meet the unique requirements of our client, we supplied and installed bespoke fabrication, Sterling Pro refrigeration units, and Lincat cooking equipment. Our team carefully considered the workflow and efficiency of the kitchen while designing the bespoke fabrication elements, ensuring seamless integration with the space. The addition of top-of-the-line Sterling Pro refrigeration units and Lincat cooking equipment further enhanced the kitchen’s functionality and productivity.

Nylon Racking and Sinks: Addressing storage needs was another crucial aspect of this project. We introduced versatile nylon racking, known for its strength and resistance to corrosion, extending the kitchen’s storage capacity. In line with food safety and hygiene guidelines, we incorporated three sinks: a preparation sink, a dirties sink, and a dedicated hand wash basin. These additions significantly improved overall food safety protocols and convenience for the kitchen staff.

Electrical Work in Compliance with Food Safety Standards: Electrical safety is paramount in any commercial kitchen. To meet this requirement, we meticulously planned and executed the surface-mounted electrical work. Our team utilised food-safe conduit as per the M&E drawing, ensuring the highest level of safety in electrical installations. This meticulous approach not only adheres to regulations but also provides a streamlined, clutter-free environment.
